On September 29, at a Press Conference in the  Finanta’s  Building, Philadelphia, PA,   Mayor Michael A. Nutter,  announced small business funding awards totaling more than $2.3 million and the re-launch of a program to support immigrant-owned businesses.

Philadelphia Zoo and University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine to perform minor eye surgery

Philadelphia, PA—October 6, 2011—The Philadelphia Zoo’s two snow leopard cubs, born in June 2011, will undergo minor surgery to correct eyelid abnormalities. The cubs are otherwise developing well, weigh about 20 pounds each, and are playing, eating, running and jumping normally.
